The Orpheus Institute - Charity Concerts
The Orpheus Institute Annual Charity Concert Benefitting Veterans and Children with PTSD The Orpheus Institute Charity Concerts are inspiring and uplifting musical events that provide a free musical experience to veterans, children and their family experiencing PTSD. We are determined to do our part to help these heroes and innocent children overcome their personal traumas by tapping into hidden reserves of strength deep within themselves using the medium of music and graphic arts. Our concerts are an annual “mission project.” The proceeds benefit a chosen organization that treats veterans and traumatized children suffering from PTSD and grants the organization training in the Catharsis Application Program. The Veteran and Children Orpheus Institute Charity Concert is entirely funded by donations and grants. All organizers and participants volunteer their time and receive no remuneration for their services. The Production The Orpheus Institute invites collaboration with producers interested in organizing an event and performing artists. We emphasis locations in the United States, Canada, and Europe but we can bring a charity concert to anywhere in the world. The program consists of compositions by Alain Amouyal as well as any other outstanding works that stimulate spectator emotion and reflect the artistic, spiritual, and humanitarian aesthetic of the Orpheus Institute. The production typically consists of concert piano recitals and / or a 75-piece orchestra, a choir, and soprano & piano soloists. We invite artists, or agents who represent creative, who are interested in participating and supporting the treatment of PTSD in veterans and traumatized children: Full 75-piece orchestra, age 25 and older. Difficulty level: Advanced Choir (40 voices) Soloists: Soprano & Piano

About the Composer & Orpheus Institute President Alain Amouyal's musical works were publicly performed by various pianists in southern France, Paris, Namur (Belgium) and Munich (Germany) as well as by 75-piece classical orchestras, with a soprano and piano soloist. These concerts had an immense impact on the audience at each venue. His first orchestral CD was recorded in 1999 in Abbey-Road Studio One, in London. The London Symphony Orchestra and London Voices performed the music. Conrad Pope, orchestrator, and Shawn Murphy, sound recording engineer, both from Los Angeles (USA), also participated in the production.

Your Donations at Work The Veteran and Children Orpheus Institute Charity Concert is entirely funded by donations and grants. All organizers and participants volunteer their time and receive no remuneration for their services. By donating your time and talent to perform in our charity concerts, you are honoring and strengthening veterans and children suffering from PTSD and supporting treatments that help them break free from the trauma that traps them in a cycle of living in fear. Donated funds are used to cover the cost of organizing the concerts, including music purchases, stage equipment rentals, promotional materials and insurance. They are also used to cover the costs of providing Catharsis Application Program training to the benefitting organization as well as other supporting programs of the Orpheus Institute. The Orpheus Institute Charity Concert is an opportunity for musicians, producers and communities to relieve the suffering of thousands of people who are living with the trauma and consequences of PTSD.
